Still Learning
Well, I am amazed by the things that can be done on the computer now. Technology is becoming more and more important in schools. One thing that I am really impressed with is the Wiki. It seems that there are so many things that can be done with this application. I am still trying to think of ways to make it work in the younger classrooms. One thing that would be interesting would be to have a classroom Wiki page. Parents can communicate with me and with each other. I can also post homework and answer any questions that parents might have. I am not sure how well this would work. Communication with parents is not my strongest point. What are other ways we could communicate with parents using technology?

I would love to try setting a Wiki to use as a communication device between myself and my students..communication is always needed!!
ReplyDeleteSome parents are easier to communicate with than others. I think a Wiki would be a wonderful way to communicate with parents--great idea. Of course, there will be those families who do not have access to the internet at home, so you would need to provide those parents with copies.
ReplyDeleteI will love to find an easier way to communicate with parents other than the phone and email. I have thought about a newsletter but not sure how it would work with my students. The wiki may be a solution and a good way to share resources with parents.
